Dates: August 10 – August 13 / full days 9AM-3PM
A four-day studio experience

What happens when creativity meets entrepreneurship?

During Maker to Market Week, students will design, sew, brand, and launch a small handmade product collection. This unique studio experience teaches young makers how creative ideas turn into real products and real businesses.

Throughout the week, students will work together to develop a collaborative mini brand. They will design a market stall name, create a simple logo, sew handmade products, and build a small product collection ready for sale.

Students may create items such as tote bags, scrunchies, zipper pouches, plush toys, accessories, and other handmade goods depending on their ideas and experience level.

Along the way students will learn how to:

• design products people want to buy
• sew and finish items with consistency and care
• develop a brand name and simple logo
• design product tags and packaging
• plan a small product collection
• think about pricing and profit
• understand the basics of running a small creative business

By the end of the week, students will have a finished collection of handmade pieces ready for market.

On the final day, students will bring their brand to life by selling their products at the Grand Bay Market. They will help set up the market stall, display their products, interact with customers, and experience what it feels like to run a small creative business.

At the end of the market, profits will be divided among the students, giving them the full experience of creating and launching a handmade business from start to finish.

All fabrics and sewing materials used in the studio are included.

Because students are creating a full product collection, designing their brand, and preparing for the market, this week is offered as a full-day studio experience only.

Full-day students will enjoy lunch and relaxed movement breaks between studio sessions before returning to their projects.
