Half-Day March Break Sewing Workshop

This half-day sewing workshop is all about imagination, creativity, and bringing a monster personality to life.

Students will not just sew a stuffy. They will design their own monster from scratch, create a simple pattern, and turn it into a one-of-a-kind plush creature.

Using colourful fabric scraps, mixed prints, and fun textures, kids decide everything about their monster. Shape, size, arms, legs, ears, horns, eyes, teeth, expressions. Tall monsters, round monsters, wonky monsters, goofy monsters. No two will look alike, and that is the point.

Crooked smiles, mismatched eyes, and funny proportions are not mistakes here. They are monster magic.

This workshop is guided and supportive, with lots of hands-on help, while still leaving plenty of room for creativity and independence.

What They’ll Do

• Dream up their own monster character
• Create a simple pattern based on their design
• Choose fabrics from a scrappy mix of colours and prints
• Sew their monster together step by step
• Stuff, close, and bring their creature to life
• Add details like eyes, teeth, horns, hearts, or spikes

• Confidence at the sewing machine
