Kids Sewing Series: PJ Pants or Shorts

Sundays 2:30–4 or Wednesdays 6:00–7:30

A cozy, confidence-building project your kid will actually wear. In this four-week series, students will sew their own PJ pants or shorts with an elastic waist, optional drawstring, and in-seam pockets.

What they’ll learn

• How to thread and operate a sewing machine
• Pinning, cutting, and pressing
• Reading simple pattern pieces
• Sewing straight seams and curved seams
• Constructing pants or shorts
• Adding an elastic waistband
• Optional drawstring finishing
• Optional in-seam pockets

By the final class, they’ll have a wearable pair of handmade PJ pants or shorts ready to take home.
