Creative Duo Sewing Series
This four week sewing series is designed for one adult and one child or teen who want to learn real sewing skills together and leave with a finished project they are proud of.
This is not a drop off class and not a one off workshop. It is a guided, hands on experience built around shared creative time, learning fundamentals, and completing a full project from start to finish.
What It Is
A two hour weekly sewing series running over four consecutive weeks for one adult and one child or teen.
On the first day, you will select your project and work through it from start to finish with full instruction and support.
You may bring your own pattern or choose from studio options such as:
• PJ pants
• Tote bags
• Aprons
• Zipper pouches
• Other beginner friendly projects approved by the instructor
Project scope must fit the timeframe and teaching goals of the series and is confirmed on day one.
What You Will Learn
• Threading and operating a sewing machine
• Pinning, cutting, and pressing
• Reading and following simple patterns
• Construction and finishing techniques
• Additional skills based on the project selected
Why It Works
Adults and kids learn side by side, building confidence together instead of one person watching from the sidelines.
The pace is calm, supportive, and hands on, with focused guidance throughout.
You leave with a completed project and real skills, not just an activity.
What’s Included
• Use of sewing machines and studio tools
• All fabric for standard studio projects
• Regular sewing notions such as interfacing, buttons, thread, ribbons, and similar materials when available
• Step by step instruction in a small, relaxed studio environment
Materials & Project Policy
This is a skills based, instructor led series. The course fee reflects instruction, studio access, equipment, and guided support.
The following are not included in the base price:
• Fabric for advanced, specialty, or fabric specific projects
• Specialty notions or hardware such as boning, specialty zippers, underwire, grommets, leather, vinyl, heavy coatings, specialty trims, or designer fabrics
• Materials for multiple major projects within one series
Supplying your own fabric does not reduce the course fee. No discounts are offered for self supplied materials.
Projects must be approved by the instructor and may be adjusted to suit time limits, skill level, and teaching goals.
One primary finished project per pair is included unless otherwise arranged in advance.
Switching to a completely new project mid-series is not guaranteed and must be approved by the instructor.
