Summer Sewing Studio: Plush Character Design Week

Spend the week designing and sewing your own collection of plush characters inside a real sewing studio.

In Plush Character Design Week, students will bring their ideas to life by designing and sewing their own handmade stuffies. Kids will sketch ideas, choose fabrics, and learn how to sew soft toy shapes using beginner-friendly sewing techniques.

Throughout the week students will learn how to safely use a sewing machine, cut fabric, sew seams, turn shapes, stuff their creations, and add personality with details like faces, ears, tails, and accessories.

Each student will leave the studio with a small collection of unique plush creations they designed themselves.

This studio focuses on building sewing confidence while encouraging imagination and creativity.

All fabrics and materials are included. Students will have access to a curated selection of studio fabrics perfect for plush creations.

Full-day students will enjoy lunch and relaxed movement breaks between studio sessions, including outdoor time to recharge before heading back into their projects.

Perfect for creative kids who love sewing, designing characters, and making things with their hands.
