KIDS OPEN SEWING DROP-IN ✂️

Come with a project, or come ready to learn something new.

This relaxed 1.5-hour sewing session is for kids who want help with something they’re already making, want to learn a new sewing skill, or just want some creative studio time with hands-on support.

They can bring:

• a project already in progress
• a pattern they want help with
• an idea they want to turn into something
• a project that has gone a little sideways

Or they can bring nothing at all and we’ll find a good place to start.

Beginners are absolutely welcome.

What We Can Work On

Depending on their skill level and interests, we can work on:

• learning how to use a sewing machine
• simple sewing techniques
• reading beginner-friendly patterns
• building confidence with cutting and construction
• starting a new project
• troubleshooting a project they’re stuck on
• developing skills at their own pace

What’s Included

• Use of studio sewing machines and workspace
• Hands-on instruction and support
• Access to studio tools and common supplies
• Help choosing a project if they don’t bring one

Materials

If your sewist is bringing their own project, please bring the fabric, pattern and any specific supplies needed.

The studio usually has common supplies such as thread, interfacing, zippers and HeatnBond available, but specific colours, sizes or specialty supplies are not guaranteed.

Simple beginner-friendly mini projects may also be available for sewists who arrive without a project.

Your spot is not reserved until both payment and booking are complete.

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule. Missed classes and late cancellations cannot be credited or transferred. All sales are final.

If one class turns into okay, they definitely want more sewing, the Kids School Year Flex Pass includes five 1.5-hour sessions with the same flexibility to book around your schedule.
