Teen PD Day Sewing Sessions ✂️

Ages 11+ | 10:00 AM–1:00 PM | Only 3 spaces per session

A day off school, but make it three hours of real studio time.

These beginner-friendly sessions are open to every skill level. New sewists learn the foundations properly, while returning students can take on clothing, pattern manipulation and more advanced projects.

Students are learning from a trained fashion designer, which means they aren’t limited to following a commercial pattern exactly. They may change the neckline, add sleeves, combine two patterns or completely adapt a pattern to create the design they actually want.

They bring the idea. I help them figure out how to make it.

Projects

Almost anything goes:

• Dresses, tops and skirts
• Bags and accessories
• Original project ideas

Projects will be discussed by email before class. Smaller projects may be finished in one session, while more ambitious designs can continue across multiple PD Days.

What’s Included

• Three hours of instruction
• Maximum of three students
• Sewing machines and studio tools
• Patterns, project planning and troubleshooting
• Fabric and supplies available within the CHAVAH studio

For specific fabrics, specialty materials or advanced projects, parents may be sent a shopping list or CHAVAH can order the required materials and send an additional invoice.

Single Session: $90
Two-Session Bundle: $170
Five-Session Pass: $400

Single sessions are reserved by selecting the date at checkout.

After purchasing a bundle or pass, email chavahdesigns@gmail.com with your requested dates. Dates are first come, first served and are not reserved until confirmed.

Studio Details

Bring a water bottle and snack. Students may also bring their own sewing machine if they would like to learn on it.

A completed waiver is required. Cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations and missed sessions count as used. All passes expire June 4, 2027.

No experience needed. No cookie-cutter projects. Just real skills and the studio time to see how far they can take them. ✂️
