Kids PD Day Sewing ✂️

Ages 5–10 | Beginner-friendly | Small-group class

A day off school, but make it creative.

This three-hour afternoon class gives younger sewists the chance to learn inside a real fashion studio at a pace designed specifically for them.

Kids will learn how to use the sewing machine, cut fabric, follow construction steps and make something they’re genuinely excited to take home.

What Will They Make?

Each PD Day features a fun, beginner-friendly project designed to build real sewing skills without feeling overwhelming.

Whenever possible, I’ll offer a themed project inspired by the closest holiday or season. Think Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day or spring sewing, with plenty of room for kids to choose their own fabrics, colours and details.

Projects may include:

• Tote or drawstring bags
• Pencil cases and zipper pouches
• Stuffies or pillows
• Scrunchies and accessories
• Seasonal and holiday-themed projects

Projects change throughout the year, so kids can come back for multiple PD Days and make something completely new.

Who Can Attend?

• Kids ages 5–10
• Complete beginners
• Returning young sewists
• Kids who can listen, follow steps and stay engaged with support

No sewing experience is needed. I meet them where they are and help them build confidence from there.

Single Session: $75
Two-Session Bundle: $140
Five-Session Pass: $325

Single sessions are reserved by selecting the date at checkout.

After purchasing a bundle or pass, email chavahdesigns@gmail.com with your requested dates. Dates are first come, first served and are not reserved until confirmed.

• Optional personal sewing machine, if they would like to learn on it

A completed waiver is required before attending. 

Bundles and passes are valid only for the listed 2026–2027 PD Day sessions and expire June 2027.

Cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations and missed classes count as used.
